Westie Shop – renovation of the locale
This locale was renovated in collaboration with IN56 for the Westie brand, which sells small children’s clothing.
We began the project by placing laminated board to decorate the sides of the shop that house the displays with different combinations of shelves and bottom drawer units for storage in different shades of pink, blue and natural wood.
The design consisted in interposing wood and perforated iron in combination with lacquered elements. The lacquer used was both matte and glossy.
The two modules in the centre of the locale, which are used both for seating, product storage and display were all lacquered in white and finished with curved edges.
The shop counter next to the column was designed with laminated board and a glossy lacquer finish.
The last step was to design the façade. A decoration study and numerical control were used to design a series of figures, consisting of plywood and varnished with a natural finish, hanging from the ceiling, as a decorative element.
