Renovation of a home in Areeta (Bizkaia)
The home belonging to Tomás de Olabarri was completely renovated with a combination of oak and lacquer.
The doors were manufactured in white lacquer, using new systems by Scrigno for double doors with a non-standard size, measuring more than 120 cm wide. These doors fold two-by-two on a single side, thereby joining the two living room areas and the office space, if necessary.
The same living space was furnished with two doors opening to the kitchen. These were made 250 cm high, in oak melamine and lacquer with mountable. Manufactured from a single board without cuts or joints, with a guide hidden in the ceiling and a hidden hanging system embedded in the door. The result was as planned and the mechanism allows the door to slide perfectly on the guide rail. The structure can support up to 120 kilos.
The doors in the rest of the home were made with the same design, with a horizontal bezel separating decorations.
The furniture in the bathrooms in the home combine lacquer and oak. This is complemented with a panelled headboard in the main bedroom, with lacquered slats.
The guest bathroom was furnished with an oak finished counter and a supporting shelf under the counter.
The children’s room was furnished with a lacuered headboard for the two beds in the room.
